Good to hear from you Frank and with great news. I wish you the best of luck with base player and new agency and that you land more dates that you can shake a stick at. Hoping that the remasters will soon be out as well. :clap :clap :clap Tony S.

Just e-mailed Patrick McAuliff, the agent for Monterey International covering Texas offering any help I can to get FMMR down here. DT, any suggestions?

I also sent an e-mail to the Chicago office asking them to do a proper job of promoting Frank when he comes to town.
That has been the problem since Frank came back on the scene back in the late 90's, the word just does not get out. We the hardcore fans can only get so far with the radio stations and newspapers.
I know that back in the 70's Frank Marino had a large following around here. The people will come out if they hear about it. And they will buy the albums if the word gets out.

Just heard back from Mr. McAuliff, he replied immediately. Here it is:

Stephen – Good to hear from you. We hope to get Frank down in the Texas market sometime down the road. Thanks for the email and I appreciate the interest.

Hello Frank,

I will begin putting the word out about your need for a bass player in my circle.

I a way I wished that I was still in Montreal, I feel that I could have made a try at the bass position, because I feel that I can handle the technical aspects of playing the bass. I am obviously very familiar with the songs.

I'm sure there are lots of good players around there.

As always, it's good to hear(read) from you.

Wow, this is great news--I hope you can find a good bassist, Frank, and I know how tough that is. I'd offer, but as a bassist, well, let's just say I'm a guitarist through and through. :)

Placing a couple of your pop tunes with some mainstream pop singers would be sweet! Could probably bankroll everything you do for several years.

I'd give up guitar for a gig. But the kids would be rough to tour with...

:winky

Good news. I look forward to seeing /hearing some good concerts in the fall. God knows I could use it.

McCartney could probably use a change of (s)pace right about now!?! :winky

Some really great artists with that agency! EJ, Buddy Guy....wow. Hope some multiple bills materialize for greater exposure.

Great news Frank, I'm very happy for you and the band. I really wish you would consider putting out some of the pop tunes yourself, as well as other artist . I certainly wouldn't think less of you if you did. It's not like selling out or anything. It's just another side of you.
