A bit of an update.

Post by Frank Marino »

I know I've been scarce around here lately, but I actually do check in and read the new stuff once a day. I just haven't had the time to actually write and answer alot of it, including personal mail.

The reason? Well, I'm working on about a half-dozen things at once, among other goings on. And here is what they are:

I'm remastering Maxoom, Strange Universe, and Child of the Novelty for Just In Time. They got the rights to put these records out in Canada... I imagine they'll also export, but I've got nothing to do with the business side. All I know is that Jim West asked me to remaster them and make 'em sound good, and that's what I'm attempting to do. Slated release is sometime in March or April, if all goes well.

I'm rebuilding my amp system:

I'm designing a totally new one as well.

I'm also designing and building some pedals and pre-amps that I might actually sell to people commercially, though I'll probably be selling them direct (no company).

I'm working out details for the DVD shoot (more on that soon).

I'm working out details for the Blues album.

I'm working out rehearsal times for the new bass player (yes, as of now Peter Dowse is gone and the new guy looks to be another guy named Peter).

And, on top of all of that, I'm running around quite a bit for the kids, the wife, school, etc.

So, I just wanted to update things a bit. I DO come here... EVERY day... and I see all the posts. Please be patient if you've asked a question and haven't had it answered. I know they're piling up, and I hope I can get to all of them but, at this stage, I may not quite get them all answered.

Lastly, I wish to thank Willy and all the musicians who participated in that tribute CD... I'm flattered and thankful to all of them, especially to Willy.

And I'm equally thankful to all of you who, rain or shine, continue to support the group and the site.

I'll speak to you soon... God willing.

Ah, we have a Frank-sighting!

All those National Enquirer rumors can now be put to rest!

Sounds like you're having fun and staying busy, Frank. Glad that you checked in!

Now get back to work on those remasters--and especially the new stuff! :D

Wow...

Thanks for keeping us updated Frank!

The remastering work sounds good, because I don't have all the oldest records yet.

...Excellent... :D

Remastering three of my favorite lp's/cd's of all time?
Be careful, don't listen to the experts. They tend to screw things up, lol.

I agree with Jim on these three albums. I was turned on to Frank when Child of the Novelty was brand new. So this time period was when I was forever hooked. I can not wait for the remasters.

I was just listening to the Strange Universe CD last night and wondering if it would ever be re-mastered. Excellent news!

All the other anouncements sound good, too, especially the one about the DVD shoot!

Thanks for the update, Frank. We'll try to be patient!! 8)

That's quite a schedule, Frank!

I do hope you'll be able to retain the original artwork on your first 3-

records, especially on Strange Universe.
