I can see the Malmsteen thing falling apart. There is not much lead guitar on Strange Dreams, lol.

Can't wait to hear the tribute !! Sounds like a fun project, but lots of hard work as well. Great job !!

I hope this gets rave reviews and huge sales. I'd like to see a sequel. I mean, there are lots of great Frank songs...LOTS.

My only regret is that Joe Bonamassa isn't on this one. He's a huge fan and, IMHO, pays tribute to the early Marino style in his own way. Maybe most people don't hear it, but being a guitar player, you can tell when somebody's been listening to Frank's stuff...and learning it. I really think that Joe would agree to do a song, too. Heck, he'd probably do it for five bucks and an autograph !!

Did any of these artists totally rearrange the original version ? Or are they all just note to note covers ?

Take for example Sheryl Crow. At first I thought her version of Sweet Child of Mine was just awful, but nowadays I like it better than the original Guns 'N' Roses version.

No no, I really like the soothing atmostphere of Sheryl's version.

On the other hand I love Slash's solo in the original version though... :P

They all did their own versions. I think only one is "note for note".

Ya know who you could maybe get to do a song if another one of these is done...Micheal Fath. He's a great fusion/jazz guitarist from Northern VA.
